A gynecological medical officer at ‘Bogra Nursing Home’ said, “A robust, fully developed infant has been delivered.”
Yes, he is Sheikh Arman Asif!
During this period, owing to his father’s occupation, he resided in various districts of Bangladesh, including Jhalakathi, Narsingdi, Khulna, and others. However, it is Jhalakathi district that harbors distressing memories for him.
At the tender age of one or two, he embarked on his journey of locomotion, mastering the art of crawling. Their abode stood in proximity to the vast expanse of the “Bishkhali” river. In a moment of youthful exploration, young Asif found himself inadvertently plunging into the river’s depths. Time stretched ominously as his absence lingered, until, by the boundless grace of Allah, his vigilant mother spotted him struggling amidst the currents. Without hesitation, she leaped into action, retrieving him from the perilous waters with unwavering resolve, and returning him to safety.
Had it not been for the divine intervention of Allah, this chapter of his life might have drawn to an abrupt and tragic close.
During this period, he resided in the Bogra district. It is primarily from this juncture that he initiates his comprehension, with the events of this era and those following gradually imprinting themselves upon his memory.
At that time, he stayed in Nirala area of Khulna city.
And the first school of his life is here. During this time, he mastered Bengali and English reading very well, which is somewhat unusual for other normal children. During this time, his childhood memories occur. One such incident is noteworthy.
One day he was crossing a canal bridge to go to his friend’s house, and he saw a cow drowning in the canal. He and his friend consulted to find the owner of the cow and give the news so that the owner could rescue his cow. But if some time had passed, the cow could have died.
The owner of the cow praised and adored this little Asif for this act.
Since then, he has realized how easily respect and affection could be earned through helping others!
The main reason for coming from Khulna city to this village of Khulna is,
His grandmother was the sole guardian of his grandfather’s house, and when she died, his father had to come to this house and take over the responsibility of the whole family!
So he and their family had to move to this Senhati…
He spent most of his life in this place and spent his adolescence here.
Coming here, he started his education at the third standard. And at that age, he became very busy with his daily routine as he was studying in two schools at the same time in his third grade, which is not normal also somewhat unusual for others!
He went to kindergarten at 7:00 AM, came home at 10:00 AM, and studied at Government Primary School from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
He used to spend the rest of his time in madrasas, private tutors etc.
Thus, a fairly busy routine is his daily companion and he spends his life in this Khulna till secondary school!
His family shifted to the country’s capital, Dhaka, to facilitate his collegiate studies.
Although he lacks tangible memories in this enchanting city, he currently lives and studies here…
